Booking tips
- Popular national park campgrounds fill fast once bookings open. Booking windows and rules differ by campground, so check its page on Recreation.gov.
- First-come sites usually free up in the morning as campers leave, so arrive early in peak season.
- Many campgrounds have no hookups, and some close or partly close in winter. Check the campground's status before you go.
